Finger Lakes or 1000 Islands

A group of us are planning to come up from the NJ, PA area next week and are wondering if we should go to Seneca and Cayuga Lake or head for 1000 Islands instead. Any suggestions and/or options appreciated. Thanks.

There is a Region 8 Race on Senica this weekend 8/22-23.

1000 island are incredible, especially on the skis, you can run up and down the american or canadian sides, run through the rift, potters beach, bolt and singer castles, a-bay, buzz down to clayton, amazingly crystal clear water, beautiful scenery.
