I was wondering the same thing yesterday on my RXPX 260. As owner manual and I ask one of my friend that works at BRP dealer and they both said to pinch this hose. On older skis, it had red tape on it but newer ones don't have red tape anymore. I pinch this hose yesterday and tow 18mph and had no issues. Starts up quick and run perfect. MAKE SURE YOU UNCLAMP IT BEFORE YOU START YOUR SKI. I almost forgot to unpitch it. lol

Most guys here use a brass shutoff valve (Red Handle) for their emergency tow valve. No "pincher" tool required, simply turn the valve, attach the tow rope and go.

I take my DESS key and tie it in a not on the steering to remind me to open the valve when on the trailer.

Simply locate the main 3/4" line from the pump to the exhaust manifold. And yes the hose in the first post is correct. This shuts off all water to the exhaust manifold, water box, and prevents backup into intake manifold.

Out of curiosity, why do you shut the valve on the trailer?

i read that as it is a reminder to open the valve once on the trailer after being towed. So it will be open and ready for next launch.

Ok, I thought he was closing it off on purpose often for some unknown reason to me, that's why I asked.
