Hawkeye depth finder on an '08 RXP-X?

I got a great deal on an aftermarket depth finder but even though I've tried multiple searches, can't seem to find any good info on the transducer location. I mounted one on the left side of the intake tunnel on a GSX-L and it worked great. I've got to think the same location would work with the 'PX but I've seen some conflicting posts about this. Has anyone found the sweet-spot for an aftermarket depth finder on this hull? The area in front of the tunnel is a deep double hull to the keel, so that doesn't seem likely.
    Thanks!

Just to the right of the carbon ring area. Probably would work better right in front of the motor center hull. use a slow cure epoxy as not to have air bubbles between the Transducer and hull

Is that where you glued yours? I take it you mean just aft of the water pump? That spot is crazy congested. I was hoping to find someone who has glued it to the left (port) side between the waterbox and the intake tunnel. That area is pretty clear, but I don't want to glue it in only to find there are voids in the hull there. I can get it under the engine just in front and slightly left (port) of the PTO, but that area is double hull with foam core, right?

You can place it where you need to, its tough, the more level it is the better...
