    SC clutch failure. What next?

My buddy brought his 2010 FZS over today for us to replace a clutch. This is what we found. This was the 2013 upgraded clutch we installed almost 2 years ago.

I know I'm not any help here just trying to learn, but what is causing the issue of going out again and again? Is the clutch easy to get to?

Thats what i figured. Pull the motor and clean it out. Is it just the pan i have to worry about? Pieces wouldnt make it to the top of the motor at all?

Correct. They did keep riding it. Maybe having the Riva shaft helped.

Unfortunately the motor has to come out. I assume the intake and exhaust manifolds need to come off to get the motor out.

I took mine off, I went in and moved off the Yamahas was in market for a new ski was not impressed with the SVHO and there problems I wish they would make a rough water ski and make a fiberglass hull the nano has never impressed me the motor did even with the clutches not holding up, then you add timing chain and paint issues on the new ones Yamaha became unattractive to me, sure people out there will say it's the greatest thing to slice bread....but in this case for me the grass is greener on the other side
