So heres the plan.......08 RXTX TO N/A

Why?? you ask..... because one of my cylinders randomly cracked and I refuse to dump a buttload more money into this thing for a new engine out of pocket. I'm still considering parting it out but If I can get close to the price of a re-maned engine selling the supercharged related pieces then I might just do that........I'm more interested in having a reliable ski at this point than doing 70 mph plus I just bought a 28.5 foot project boat so thats where the majority of my play money will be going for the next year........And no local machine shop wants to touch this thing.

Before you say just part it out and put a down payment on a new ski.........I still owe 3Gs on this one so its not that simple

    Things I can sell.

    X charger
42 lb injectors (replace with N/A injectors)
fuel pump assembly (I already have an external regulator I can replace it with.
    Map sensor
    Intake hoses
    intercooler
PTO cover (I have an NA one from an 07 already)
255 computer (Which i know I have to replace with the NA one but Id figure theyd be alot cheaper and an X computer)

DID i miss anything?? One thng I'm not sure about is if the wire harness is different for an NA or SC'd motor.....I know its gonna need a smaller impeller too.

Making na isn't going to do anything. The crack will still be there. It's going to be down on compression and going to only get wores. Best bet is to put a little money in it and either sell or keep it. Or like you've stated part it out and try and get your money out of it. Going na is not going to solve anything

"I can get close to the price of a re-maned engine selling the supercharged related pieces then I might just do that"...............Meaning get a new engine by subsidizing the price of one by selling the parts that are only needed by a supercharged setup

Did you think I meant changing it to an NA was somehow going to fix a cracked cylinder???

Obviously not. But going na isn't going to cure the problems the motor has.didnt realize you were trying to sell all the parts to pay for an na motor.

You will only create a whole set of new problems ... the ECU is mapped for a SC engine, fuel injectors would be too much on top end without boost, etc. Then, you have destroyed any residual value of the ski ... a NA RXT will be a dog, will not even get near 60 mph, and will not be resaleable for any kind of money. Nobody will want a slow, screwed up, bastardized ski like that.

I get being upside down and wanting to fix that somehow, but the other advice on this thread is accurate and the voice of experience. Part it out and move on, or fix it.
