    300X / 310X Oil Change preferences?

Please share what brand filters (include filter number) and brand oil (include weight) you guys are using in your skis.

Also, at what hr intervals do you recommend?

I've read that owners also change out the supercharger oil, is this correct?
If so, could you please point to a thread or explain the process.

    Thank you in advance.

    Amsoil EAOM103 motorcycle oil filter

No sooner than every 25 hours, could go 35 hours with the better lubricant if I wanted to. I ride over 50 hours per season, so that's two oil changes. One mid season, and the second prestorage.

Changing the SC oil is a chore, you will have to remove the orange hose going to the intercooler, the belt cover, and perhaps even part of the exhaust to make room. You when remove all of that, you will see the fitting to remove from the supercharger. You will have to suck out the old, then add new. ONLY put in what you take out. If I recall, this is a 100 hour service.

    Amsoil SMF103 oil filter

"I bought 2 of these filters..... to cut open and compare... with the OEM"

    "First impression:
Looking inside both Amsoil filters I see dirt on bypass valve. Not just one speck but about 10 large pieces of stuff in one and 5 in the other.
Cutting open the Amsoil filter reveals a puny little filter element."

The SMF103 filter was discontinued years ago, replaced by a far superior nano-fiber media. Your post holds no relevance to modern times, especially since you are referencing a BITOG post created in 2002.

Here is the super charger oil in pictures. Interestingly the bottles are 4 ounces, and today we dumped out the oil in the supercharger for a friend at 193 hours and got just under 4 ounces of supercharger oil. I would consider changing my supercharger oil at the 100hr mark? Up for debate and opinion for sure on the intervals. You will note that AC Delco SC oil carries same part number as the GM SC oil and bother are 4 ounces. By the way I think when you change the SC while still in the SKI you would use a syringe and a tube to suck out the SC DO NOT OVER FILL. I also included a pic of a supercharger with clean oil, this was not the case at 193 hrs as you can see how dirty the oil is in pic

    Thanks Mike

Can a person suck out the oil from the SC with a syringe and rubber tube? I thought I read this somewhere. How did you do yours? remove the SC from the ski?
