Winterizing 2011 - Service Manual doesn't say to use RV anti freeze?

I am going to winterize my Sea Doo's this winter on my own, I purchased a shop manual and it describes removing the intercooler hose to expel water as well as pressurizing the exhaust to expel water using the 'hose connection port'. There is no mention of RV anti freeze, this can't be right!?!? Am I missing something? Also does the 'hose connection port' route to the intercooler if I do run RV anti-freeze through the machine?

I have a 2014 RXT and I know what you're talking about. Remember that the engine has closed loop cooling so the system is filled with an antifreeze/water mix. The raw water that is supplied through the jet pump cools only the exhaust system and the intercooler. By blowing air through the port on the transom (the one that supplies cooling water when the unit is flushed) all residual water in the exhaust and IC is removed. Also, blowing the moisture out of the air supply tube is a very important thing to do since there can be a lot of condensation in the cooler. This can migrate into the air intake tract and corrode the throttle body and intake valves.

I guess my main question is do you run RV anti-freeze through it as well? It doesn't seem to indicate that in the manual, I guess its better to be safe than sorry but want another cold climate person to chime in.

It doesn't have to be "RV" anti freeze. You can use any type of anti freeze...if you feel the need.

Not as cold as South Dakota but still well below freezing. I will just do it so that extra measure of safety.

RV antifreeze is non toxic, better for the lake or river that you take your first ride of the season in.
