    Speed difference

Me and my son both have 2014 VX Deluxe's bought at the same time, they both have the same mods and just turned a year old a couple of weeks ago. Ribbon delete , a K&N cone air filter right at the throttle body, he's a Toyota master tech. And does all the work on them . They have always run neck and neck with these mods and now mine is beating his off the Line and I can barely inch away from him, he pulled the prop and checked it and the plugs . My question is mine seems to me to be running faster now , I have 95 hours on mine and he just hit 35 hours .

Could be, I was just wondering if they start running better once you get some hours on them

Probably nothing you could actually verify because of a number of different factors (rider, conditions, etc.) I remember when the FZs first came out there were some posts on here that the skis picked up speed (say 1mph or less) after 20 or so hours. My best guess is that after a few hours and heat cycles, the engines are broken in and any subsequent hours won't affect speed. Just my opinion.

How about the fuel tank? Does the "faster" one have less fuel ticks?
Google shows a gal of gas is about a 6 lbs.
    Just a thought..
