    1997 Seadoo Challenger Cavitation?

My seadoo challenger runs like a champ when it's just me in it. I hit the throttle and gets up and goes every time with no issues. As soon as I add another passenger it will not go above 5000 rpm and will not make the high pitch sound before you know its going to get up on plane.

Now if the boat has been sitting all night and I load it up with a few passenger, it will get up and get on plane on the first run of the day (makes the high pitch sound before getting on the plane). As soon as I stop, it will not work the rest of the day. It will just hang at 5000 rpm plowing through the water.

This has been going on for 3 months and it's starting to drive me crazy!

    Changed wear ring
    Impeller is in great shape
    new fuel switch and filter
    new plugs
    new battery
Cleaned rave valves and replaced rubber boots and rings inside of them

Next time it does that, turn the blower on and if the problem clears up or is noticeably better start looking for an exhaust leak in the bilge.

I'd also check and see what peak voltage is at the highest rpm you can get, the rectifier might be shot and the MPEM/CDI could be getting excess voltage causing some ignition problems. You can remove the cover off the grey box and unplug the red connector that is right alongside the three yellow stator wires to see if that helps matters it will take the rectifier out of the charging loop.

Bilge blower doesn't work anymore on the boat. Maybe I'll unplug the rectifier and see what happens. I'm also getting random shutdowns on the boat (when running at idle or full throttle, the boat just turns off). What's causing this issue?

The USCG requires a working blower in a boat bilge for good reason, you'll want to make replacing that job one before continuing to use it and troubleshooting it.
