Angry 2012 RXT is SECOND BROKEN RETAINER AND DROPPED VALVE

Ski came in with a broken retainer and dropped valve on #3...I fixed it with an SBT complete head and it has since has had 14 hrs put on it with no problems until now.
It come back with no compression on #2 I pull the valve cover to see that #2 has a broken retainer and dropped valve. In SBT's defense they use OEM valve spring retainers. Was there a bad batch of retainers? Am I missing something here? Valve float? the ski is bone stock and when i pulled the RPM profile from candoo pro. it showed 4 mins at 8150+ rpms with 40 something hours on the ski. (which I assume is normal)

Sounds like it's running on a flash while it's in the custmers hands.

I considered that but from the looks of the rpm profile it doesnt appear that way plus this is the "wifes" ski. I figured if one was flashed it would be the RXP 260 not the wifes RXT iS lol

Stop using SBT unless you like fixing stuff more than once

Just put Sea-Doo Centre retainers in it and be done with it. If it is running over 8060 for any length, it has a reflash...Stock will not run more than 8040 to 8060.

Or go back with OEM retainers and get away from SBT

Titanium retainers will not break. they are a million times stronger than the sbt crap or even OEM. Not to mention they are lighter.
