99' Ultra 150 basic questions, newbie

New to the pwc scene, picked up a 99' Ultra 150 today, very clean, about 160 hours on it, well maintained. Have a few newbie questions, but no performance related really.
    1. What are the 3 terminals for that are on the bracket by the head? Looks like flat blade terminals
    2. Whats the easiest way to change the oil lines over to the yellow tygon lines? And anyone know the size of line needed?
    3. Can you change the 90 degree fittings into the head for oil to a better option or just leave it?

Thanks, sure I will have a few more questions later.

Best bet is grab a used maintenance manual on ebay....I got mine for like 7 bucks! Worth their weihjt in gold.

The terminals are for the grounding of the ignition leads.

The replacement of oil lines is just plug and play....remove and replace with new. Not fun to do with motor installed but possible. Probably at least take the carbs off, replace lines with slack to reattach to carbs and reinstall carbs. Most safety wire the new lines instead of the oem spring clamps or zipties.

Not sure about the fittings "for oil"??? They are the exit for the heads cooling water that exit overboard. They can be sized differently for better cooling as well as replaced with straight fittings to avoid clogs and interference with head removal.

    Welcome aboard, Meen95z!

Just make sure you don't get the oil lines mixed up! They are different, and there are FIVE of them.

Remove the display and seal the rubber plug on the back with 3M 5200. When the plugs get old, they don't seal well and, when you flip it, you'll get water in the display. $$$

While there are a number of mods you can do to the Ultra 150, I would HIGHLY recommend: Triple Pisser Mod, Bilge Pump, Cooling Water Strainer.

I just finished the oil lines, reused the stock clamps, but put on tygon lines. One line at a time, no mix ups that way. I filled the lines with oil. Didn't see any frayed cables, everything looked good. Maybe could use some plugs, unfortunately they are the expensive plugs.

Anyone know where to get the ngk 5196 plugs for under $20 each? And is there a way to double check the cdi box to see which model it is? The guy had the 5196 in it, but gave me a bag with used br9's?
