Leveling water craft on trailer for verifying engine motor oil levels.
I typically park my watercraft on an uneven paved driveway or street when needing to check engine oil levels. Is there a sweet spot on the 4tec rotax engine to place a level so I can adjust the trailer height to obtain a level engine block for verifying engine oil levels?

Sorry but you are waay over thinking this. Next time you are out getting gas for ski, check dipstick then. On a cold motor, I like oil to very top notch...after it warms up, this puts it around middle mark.

Or check it tied up to the dock. Carry an extra bottle of oil in your tow vehicle.

When it's sitting in the garage I put a floor jack under the tongue.
Place level on rub rail.
I spend more time looking in engine bay than the whole thing takes to check oil level.

If its just slightly off level on trailer it isn't a big deal. You'll get close enough reading to know if you need to put oil in or not.

Was curious so i placed a level on the top plastic cover and the exhaust manifold. Both locations give the same leveled readings. I removed about 1/4 quart to bring the oil level to 3/4 Up the max on dip stick. Original overfilled oil level was determined while craft was floating in water. Interesting...

I doubt these things are perfectly balanced as to float 100% level on water. Even the amount of gas in the tank will affect the level while floating.

I use a level on the rub rail if not in the water. Seems I remember the IM mentioning this technique if not in the water.
