    2001 virage hull cracked

    Thinking about taking this on as a project. Everything I read says it can be done. Any concerns about crack and subsequent repair location location on outer edge where ski rides on bunk ? Is this area known for strength or weakness?

    I suggest you lift the engine out so you can fully investigate the damage from the inside. It is common for the internal molded SMC ribs to develop hairline cracks.

    If there has been excessive hull flexing it may take a lot of reinforcement fiberglass on the inside to properly strengthen the area.
