Looking to buy my first Jet Ski! Need Experienced Help and Opinions
Hello, I am looking to buy my first jet ski for lake usage and purposes. I live up in Michigan, and recently moved into a lake house. My family is looking for something that would be able to tow a tube of 2 people but also have a top speed of atleast 55 mph. Secondly, it is in my interest to have a jet ski that can brake and reverse, as that can help avoid accidents and make docking easier. My only experience with jet ski's are the sea doo wakes and was looking at the gti 130 as it seems to fit the bill with an affordable price.
I am looking for advice for a good and affordable jet ski that will last. Is sea doo the right choice? Or should I look at Yamaha? (Personally I don't like how it squirts water from the back but I heard that is easily fixed.)
Sorry if this is in the wrong section, first post here, just looking to make a good buy and smart decision.

Consider the GTX 155.

SeaDoo also has a Yellow Tag promotion.....good until Aug 31. Check it out!

That looks great, but seems to be a little too much for a jet ski that we are looking for, any solid options for around 8-10?

IMO DONT BUY ONE! They just cost money
then you think you have spent enough.. then you spend more..

I would agree to that, but the kids are relentless. They see jet ski's on the lake daily and... well you can guess.

I think the gti 130 is a little underpowered.
What about a spark? 50mph with iBR and capable off towing a tube and cheaper than the 130.

Underpowered? Wouldn't the spark also be underpowered then? I did look at the spark but was told it doesn't tow well!

Spark is more lightweight. I have a spark, and when i rode the gti, i really felt that it was heavy and underpowered

The spark tows just fine. It just gets a little pulled out by the tube when turning due to the lightweight
