    1995 SL 750 Porpoising

My sl 750 porpoises like crazy so I was thinking about a ocean pro "o" plate. Would I need a jet pump extension? With the ocean pro "o" plate now out of stock will the slx 780 plate work as good too? Does that need an extension? Thank You for your time!

I know that people have put the extended plate on without the extended pump, but I can't remember what the outcome was....???

Thanks I hope the plate does the trick and more time and money doesn't needs to be put into the pump extension

It is certainly the easiest thing to do to help with porpoising. Sponsons will help too, but require a bit more messing with if you don't already have them installed....

I ran a OP (R) plate on my 650 without the extended pump cleaned the ride up considerably but keep in mind the R plate is smaller than a SLX and a o plate

I don't think the SLX plate with be as directionally stable as the OP plate if you are going to run the SLX plate without sponsons. The OP plate has grooves cast in the plate to help with steering control whereas the SLX plate does not. Not a huge deal but just remember the SLX plate really wants to be used with sponsons. I can't see any reason why you couldn't use the non-extended pump no matter what you get, but it would just be better if you did use a pump extension.

Thanks for the advise! I wish I could get the handling perks of the "o" but my next best chose is the slx. I like being able to spin the ski out so sponsons are low on my list. If the porpoising doesn't diminish enough with the new plate, it looks like I got a new winter project!
