Battery terminals coming loose
Does anyone have any ideas for keeping battery terminals tight on my 1999 GTX. Do I need a special nut and bolt I can really torque? Also how do you service or check a stator to make sure it is charging the battery. I bought a new AGM battery and still have to get towed in. Thanks

check volts at battery, while skis' at 5k rpm....testing stator, you'll need a harness that plugs into stator assy/mag housing...(doner wire loom plug from old mpem)...yellows should be 0-ohm between each other

What kind of terminals are on the new battery?
The battery must be solidly held in place. Is the battery properly strapped down so it cannot move around while you are riding?
Are the battery cables also tied down so they are not swinging around or flexing while you are riding?
Are the cables and battery in the factory orientation and position?

As above make sure battery is solid in It s mount, a lot of people loose the spacer that is needed on certain battery styles to keep it still in the mount. I have added lock washers to mine and problem solved, I have also used blue lock tight on ATVs in a pinch.
