    12' gtr 215 start/stop button replacement?

The red rubber cover on the start/stop button on my ski has now turned into mush and is broken off for the most part....this is making it really hard to push in and start/stop the ski. How difficult is the replacement on the start/stop button and where can I purchase one of these?

    Thanks!

Having only taken apart the other side for adding cruise I will say that even if the assembly has to come apart - it is very easy. But I believe I've read of others replacing it without taking anything apart, just hook the old red cover out and press in a new one.

    Interesting,
What is the WORX steering column for GTR/RXP260 they speak about? Maybe do you have a link?
    Thanks

It takes all of 5 minutes. The red button cover is usually the culprit because it has a small recess that sits on the nub that protrudes from the switch and it misaligns, causing what you are seeing and it makes people push harder. I doubt it's your start/stop button (switch).

Do you know if you can purchase just the little red cover? Or do you have to buy the whole button? If so where is a good place to purchase... (sorry im pretty much a newbie)

    Thanks!

I bought a couple from our local dealer (Australia) for about $8.00ea. They are regularly on ebay as a new replacement part. Maybe not genuine but the OEM ones are pretty weak anyway.

Just looked on ebay. Search "seadoo button" there's a few on there with international shipping.
Grab a couple as the shipping is nearly as much as the button.
