    GTR Ride plate leaking

Noticed a coolant leak around fitting into ride plate on throttle body side of pump housing. Appears to be cracked. Can you replace fitting easily or does ride plate have to come off?

I would replace it. I had mine crack last year on my 2004 RXP. I got a heat warning when riding. I hit something and it cracked it and it lost coolant.

I paid someone to do it. The guy that did it says it was a PITA. Had to use a jack to get it off.

Mine was leaking at the rear under the drain plug. It was like the previous owner had dragged it up the boat ramp.
I replaced mine. I used a jack to crack it off and the cut the sealant with a knife.
I didn't worry much about breaking the fittings inside the hull. I bought new ones.
The hardest part about the job is cleaning up the old sealant.

If yours is only leaking from the fitting you may try cut the sealant away and unscrew the fitting. Not sure you will have much luck as access is tight.

Looks as thou I cracked fitting in bilge. Did a search and it appears I can simply unscrew plastic fitting and install new one whilst still mounted. Hopefully this is true.

the big plastic fittings do unscrew in the rideplate if thats what you are talking about. it is a messy and expensive job if you have to remove and replace the plate. i have done it about 4 times now lol

yup those unscrew. it should be fairly easy to change in the hull with the waterbox and charge piping removed
