R&D Pump seal vs. stock pump seal (RXT-X 2014 iBR)

I wonder, that so many people use this R&D pump seal.
When I mount my pump with this R&D seal, it´s going/slide in so easy...
The stock pump seal is much more tighter and less clearance.
The R&D seal is really better? Isn´t it?
What is the main benefit at the R&D pump seal?

when I installed mine I had to use silicone grease to get it to go on
it was a very tight fit....not sure why yours was a loose fit

It's better because it doesn't get messed up when you install the pump. You have to be extra care full installing the stock seal to get it in perfect and you really can't tell until you take it off and it's pinched or not pinched. It's also hard to continuously install it if you have your pump on and off tuning the prop etc.

I've replaced two stock seals that where not right from the factory when I took them off. I've used 2 for TX's and 1 on my PX turbo and I would never go back to the stock seal. spray some window cleaner on it and it will slip right in.

It just takes the mystery out of if your pump is getting a good seal. You want one

I used windex to get mine in, very tight fit,do you have the correct seal for your model? I believe they're 2 different kinds.

Double check to make sure you got the correct part # there is a difference between the 2010 TX's and your TX. It should fit snug, that's why I lube it up with some windex(window cleaner) It dries quick and doesn't make a mess or hurt the rubber.

The older R&D pump seal you cannot take - it is too big - it is impossible to mix up.
I have this seal from a wrong order before.

I mean, my R&D pump seal fits perfect, but it slides in with no greas and no windex - very easily.
The stock pump seal fits very tight, need windex or greas to mount.
I am really in doubt if the R&D seal is better.
I test now 4 or 5 Impellers and document the results.
I hope the R&D pump seal is not mess up my test row.
