10 Hour, First oil Change question

I'm Planning on taking my Ski down to Holden Beach in 3 weeks for a family wedding. While i'm down there I will be hitting 10 hours engine run time (new ski). Should I change the oil before heading down south, or will a few hours over 10 be ok, and just change it when I get home.

I like changing my first oil the sooner the better. Remember that is the break in oil.

If you've never done it before, I'd just wait till you get back. Don't take a chance on doing something silly and not having your ski ready.

By the way, I just used one of the new oil kits and it had exactly the right amount of oil...if you got all the oil out. Hold the throttle in and click it over a few times, do this about 3 times and you should get all the oil out. about 3.5-3.75 quarts I think it was. The kit comes with good directions...read them.

I'd change it after the trip. In fact, I'd just wait until the end of the season to change it at this point.

The maintenance schedule for the 2014 models says to change the oil after 25 hours or 6 months so don't sweat it. As always, just make sure to check the oil level before every ride.
