14 310x oil problem

Did first oil change filled with 5 q of oil & filter road for 5 m check oil nothing on dip stick oil light came on one for a second oil driping from air box need answers wtf thanks brought to dealership today 8 1 15 will post tomorrow with finding hopefully

overfilled the engine?
Was your engine leveled prior sucking the oil out?

You can usually only get approx. 4 maybe 4.25 qts out, if you put in 5, it was probably about a quart too much.

Always put same amount of oil you take out that you put back in , you should be able to check the amount on your oil extractor ,if you took out 4 Qts and put in 5 that's bad ..

BTW I always get 5 -5.25 Qts out,a warm engine with the trailer tongue and ski down on the ground bringing the crankcase oil towards the oil pipe extractor will get 5 plus all the impurities ..

How come it doesn't read on dip stick if it is over filled. No oil on stick

Dip it 3 times in a row......
The stick push the oil down due to the seal on the top.
