?????Rebuilt Carbs on 97 Polaris Slt 780!?!?!?
So I rebuilt the carbs on this ski and when I was disassembling the high speed adj was only an 1/8 turn out on all three carbs. I referee to the manual and that is the recommended setting for that year and make. May be a dumb question, but is this gonna be a safe setting? Should I run it out a lil more? Seems too lean to me and I just rebuilt the top end and don't wanna chance anything!!

Also I have a 96 model and the manual shows 2 different carb settings. I'm assuming what part of the year it was built. But I believe it adjusted pretty good the plugs all look a brown color. Is this what I'm looking for? It dies at idle unless you give it a lil throttle. Should I adjust the low speed for this or idle adj.?

Looks like in '97... they varied the jet sizes in the carbs and then set all the mixture screws to the same.
Whereas in 96 and prior, they used all the same jets in each carb and varied the mixture settings.
The '97 SLT 780 setting does say:
HS: 1/8 turn (all ) +/- 1/8 turn
LS: 1-1/4 turn (all)
I've always started with the factory settings w/o issues. Then tweak mixture screws to get wash I like.
Cheers!
