Checking for Boost leak on a RXP
My rpms have been down and someone suggested I had a boost leak somewhere,
After Erick tweaked my prop to a 13-18.5 to raise my RPMs and I am still only at 8200 in the Texas heat with water at 93* with air temp of 98*
I got some PVC couplers with screw in caps and capped off the exhaust outlet and the intake hose right before the External Intercooler,
I put about 20 psi of air in the system and it held for a long time with no leaks,
total cost of fitting with Air Valve $4.50
see attached photos- now to check slip again race coming up in August here in Houston,

A parts list would be great. Thanks for sharing.

What rev limit / ECU do u have ?
What IC ?
U don't need to plug the exhaust , Just hook on to the SC Inlet, and pump up 10 PSI of air, then spray all the connections, & the intake manifold seams real good with sopy water.

I have a 2006 RXP with a 2008 rxpx stock External intecooler, ET-137 wheel and spacer 80 injectors--re-flashed ECU with a 9000 rpm rev limiter--walbro fuel pump-rear air- supertech titanium valve springs and spacers-08 exhaust system-Riva PRO Block offs--UMI handlebars-with quick steer link- RRFPR with AFR Innovate gauge
last year I could get 8700 RPMs and 77 mph on my gps It was in May when the water was a lot cooler, I have good compression on all 3 cylinders,

that's way down, either charger is slipping, boost leak, Or wrong prop size.
A boost guage would help identify leaks or slipping chargers early. Have u tried a different prop, Or nozzle size to get the R's up more?

I was using a 15/20 prop and sent it in to Speedfreaks and Erick repitched it to a 13/18.5 and it actually seemed like I lost rpms,
I had been using a stock 83 mm nozzle and just switched to a 85 mm nozzle ad got 200 more rpms and actually a little faster by 3 mph
that is why I was pressure testing my intercooler and manifold to check for boost leaks but have not found any that way,
I was going to have the dealer where we practice at hook it up to the computer, the tech said he can read the reflashed ecu to see what the RPMs are set at, to see if it went back to the stock setting,
I am also going to re-check slip this week,
I am getting a little smoke coming out my catch can but not much ad Wide Open Throttle, I have the rear air so the smoke doesent hinder the performance

AFR's ok?
Prop nose cone still tight?

A Vtech datalogger would help a lot to find out what's going on. Boost , fuel. Throttle and so on

I know the datalogger is the way to go but strapped for cash right now, I practice behind a dealer and he said he would hook it up to see if he could read the ECU to see what the rpms were at,
