Going from TX to PX. Questions....

Thinking of going from a 2010 TX to a 2012 PX. What will I like. What will I not?

The PX is awesome. You will love it. One of only 2 skis I have ever ridden that were a physical workout to toss around. What a blast.

I bought my px because I wanted to stay in the water
the px cuts waves like butter, but it can be a wicked bitch
there is no sliding in a turn, and at speed if your crazy enough to crank the bars shits going to fly
the new px is the same size as the older 3 seaters

As you know I have both. The Px is better hands down. I said it 3 1/2 years ago when I got it. Best rough water ski, SD has ever made.

I've got both also (2015's) and sadly I jump on my TX before the Px. The PX feels like a pig to me in power and acceleration. Quite frankly I'm disappointed in the PX's power in stock format. I can ride it flat out in stock trim around a course and it does stay glued. I don't know why but I simply feel the TX feels better in power. Lastly I can stay ahead of all my buddies riding my PX when I'm on the TX.. Except for nasty chop.

Sounds like something is not right with your PX. Stock for stock they should be neck and neck at least mine where, PX will start pulling ahead as the TX will come unhooked easier in chop. Riva grate fixes that issue.

PX turns harder about as hard as you can hold on, crappy for two up riding or riding slowish. I sold my TX and got the AS260 and enjoy that more for general cruising around...about to love it more after my Motec come in

It runs fantastic runs 8040 all day long but just feels lethargic in comparison. Side by side they are close but the TX will spin 81xx all day long and yes I know it's not supposed to but it does and will hit 71 dash all day long heat soaked or not and then the speed restrictor kicks in and it drops to 70 on dash. The PX is about the same until mid/top rpm and the T will start to pull away from it. It gets about 1.5-2 boats on our small lake side by side with wife riding it and me on the T and yes she's wot or nothing .
