    Wink SBT delrin wearring

    anybody have any experience with these?
    Im about to place my order for new impeller and wearring. Gonna go oem parts but saw this. Figured I'd ask about it b4 I place my order. Maybe I'll get this instead if it's worth it. Price is definitely nice

    OD is good and tight, ID is larger than stock. OEM is a better choice, but cost is more. I used up my last sbt 159 mm ring last year and I will not be buying any more.

    I'd have no issue using the SBT W/R on a 155 or 130 seadoo.

    I tried the SBT ring in my ski and it didn't last as long as OEM W/R so price savings isn't worth it.

    I had the same experience as Sanfish on my 215. It lasted all about 2 weeks and I make sure I don't ride in shallow waters

    You are not doing yourself any favors by using an SBT ring. Just spend a few dollars more and buy OEM.

    I cant comment, but how a plastic ring can cost so much is beyond me. Also, why and aftermarket company cannot make a wear ring that meets OEM quality is amazing. It should not be that hard!

    I have about 8 hours on my SBT ring, it has some minor scrapes but that's about it. Has someone tested the plastic vs OEM for hardness?

    Manufacturers spend millions on R&D...especially on common wear or serviceable items. The aftermarket service parts industry is primarily there because there are many people looking for a cheaper alternative. There are only a few exceptions...

    Steering cables are a good example. Buy an aftermarket version (SBT, WSM) and discover that it lasts half as long - in salt (at best). The vast majority of items WSM sells are junk and can only claim to be cheaper.

    But I will say, these SBT wear rings aren't all that bad. Just not as good as OEM when running higher HP machines.

    Thanks for the info guys. I'm just gonna go ahead and get all oem parts. Impeller wear ring and impeller tool. Is there anything else I need to do it. Seals or gaskets or anything? So far the write ups I've read didn't mention anything. It's a 2012 rxpx 260.
