    Carb issue or something else???

Ok so I've done most of the things when trying to bring back a 94 Polaris slt 750. After cleaning the carbs and setting screws back to original specs it runs great. Only thing is, from a stand still at idle, when u try to give it full throttle, it bogs down and want to die. If u give it half throttle for a second and then full throttle it will respond fine. I've tried screws every way possible but it just makes it worse. I'm stumped now. Maybe it's not carb related???

I would say its carb related. Make sure you are adjusting the low speed screws with the t handles. All three should be adjusted at the same time. Start with them 1/2 turn out. Add choke when it bogs down. If it gets worse or continues to bog, the lows are rich. If it gets better with choke, you need to open up the screws.

Thanks for the reply. I've adjusted the lows and started from a half a turn out then in 1/8 turns to all the way in and then to 2 turns out. No improvement. I think the factory settings works best it's just that initial take off that annoys me. My pop off pressure was 18 psi on all three (they didn't actually "pop off" they leaked air out at 18 psi)
The one thing I haven't tried was a new needle valve and seat. I ordered one and should b here in a couple days. If that doesn't do it then I'm lost

Choke doesn't appear to effect it for the 2 seconds at take off
Opening or closing screws doesn't improve take off

I want to check piston wash. I don't have a small flashlight. Is it as simple as removing the cap and then bolting it back up?
