Gp1200r handles like a boat. Need help!

After getting my 1200 going after the rebuild It acts like a boat compared to my gp800. Takes forever to get on plane while the 800 pops out and just goes. Far as top speed the 1200 beats it but I ride in lakes so I don't have alot of room to top it out. Will trying to deal with the cavitation help or is the 1200 a dog from a stand still regardless?

Sounds like the powervalves aren't functioning. Does the Servo motor cycle when turned off? It's behaving like the valves are raised up.

What is your GPS top speed. Is the prop slipping from cavitation, then eventually bites?

Are you sure it's cavitation? What's your wot rpm and compression? Are you sure your power valves are opening correctly?

Checked the pv servo and I don't think it is working. The gp800 does a servo cycle but the 1200 doesnt. I'm going to take it off and bench test it tonight if I can. Stock tach showed a bit past 7k rpm. It has the rumbling cavitation sound like any other boat makes.
