Yamaha FX cruiser Low fuel level warning

The Low fuel level warning beeps @ 2 bars on the fuel gauge.
Is there a way so silence the alarm once you get the idea, yea, I need to get gas?

Also reading the owners manual would tell you the same thing. By the way you still have app 5 gallons when the buzzer goes off.

I recently experienced this where the buzzer came on @ 2 bars, I continued riding thinking I'll bring it in when it was down to 1 bar. Well it completely ran out of fuel in the middle of the lake but it was still showing 2 bars of fuel. Had to get towed in. Removed the seat to look at fuel tank, completely empty. Not going to trust the bars anymore. Lesson learned.

I believe the 2 bars on the fx is really 1 bar.

Thats interesting to know. The two yimes i have run mine to the buzzer it took right at 12 gallons depending on long I ran it on the buzzer.
My FX goes down two bars at a time.
How much longer did you ride it after the buzzer went off.
Dont think its a matter of the bars its a matter of the ski told you it was on reserve and you ignored it.

I normally don't ride with low fuel levels, I was planning on coming in soon. I probably rode for another 40 mins of lake riding from the first time the buzzer came on. I was monitoring the bars that never went below 2 but it ran completely empty, while still indicating 2 bars. I thought it was strange. Only 30 hrs on ski, maybe level sending unit is bad? Trust me it won't happen again.

interesting that it still showed two bars and didn't go completely down to zero. MMM I wonder if that's the case that it does not go zero.

Your FX wouldn't go 30 minutes on the buzzer riding with our group
