    Lucky 13 Cone Issue

    I put the Lucky 13 cone on my 2013 FZS but I can't get it to sit right. With the cone positioned so it angles up to go with the angle of the nozzle, the cone still faces slightly downward. The stock cone and R&D anti-cavitation cones I had previously all seemed centered in relation to the nozzle. I have a stock 2013 nozzle on there. Am I doing something wrong?

    That is normal with your 5 degree nozzle and won't hurt a thing.

    Ok just wanted to make sure. I thought I had the wrong cone.

    If you want to trade your 2013 exit nozzle for a 2014 that is 3 degrees let me know.
    I have one to trade and then your cone will sit right in the middle.

    That all depends on what pump you have.

    I tried a 14 nozzle. Lost 7 mph.

    There must be something else wrong with your ski if you are only changing the nozzle from 2013-2014 and loose 7mph

    I lost 7 mph when I installed the Lucky 13 cone and 2014 SVHO nozzle and went back to the stock ride plate. I was on a Solas 13/22R prop. Ski did 65mph at about 7800 rpm. I put back the stock nozzle, R&D anti-cavitation cone that I had previously, and a Skat twin 12/20 and gained back 3 mph. I'm at 68 mph now at 8100 rpm. Previously I was doing 71.1 at 7800 rpm with the stock nozzle, 13/22r, and R&D ride plate. Everything else was the same. Hole shot was lousy and the ski had too much bounce. That is why I started changing the setup.
