Will I gain RPM with larger steering nozzle?
Running an 87mm five degree nozzle and Solas SVHO prop at 8200-8250. Stock steering nozzle. Will I gain RPM and speed with a larger steering nozzle or should I just repitch?
Thanks,
Adam

OK I will get it repitched then. I'm 15psi right now at 8200, 81.5mph. I think pitching for 8700 should get me up to 84 or so. I hope.

You will need to reduce your pitch by two pitches to get to 8700 from 8200 and no other changes. Tommy Jordan

The xlt 87mm 3 degree nozzle with the thinner diffuser veins will also increase rpm's. I like it with the Lucky 13 cone on the FZR/FZS skis.

You will still probably need to depitch to 1 or 2 degrees on the trailing edge.
