Depending greatly on weight and balance between 2800-3000rpm is where she gets fully on step. At 16-17 knots.
The original top speed was 22-24 knots at 4200rpm. The new engines top out at 4700 rpm at 27+ knots(31mph)
my 50 footer can out run my dingy by 10 mpg haha.

Gasoline engines that top out at 4700 rpm? Must be some torque monsters! So, how long before you hit The Panama Canal? You are making a world trip, aren't you?

Gas engines in marine applications RPMs max out far under the auto redline. I wish I could make that trip. At best I would take it to Mexico.

Just discovered this thread, WOW! I'm impressed with your craftsmanship and your perseverance! It's a lot easier to build something new, rebuilding is twice as much work!

I have a new boat and it’s one hell of a looker. It’s older by 10 years. Here are some teasers. I still have the Chris craft and am most
likely selling it. You don’t come along a classic like this 1951 Blanchard in this shape often.

I will post a new videos later.

That is sharp looking. Can't wait to see more of it and what you have in store. Nice score!
