Not trying to hijack the thread either, but I briefed through this thread and saw where guys were asking about oil feeds and drains plumbing and having to remove the engine. If you make your own kit, as we did, it's best to pull the motor for ease of piping fabrication regardless. It's no walk in the park to make your own kit as mentioned, and takes A LOT of time to fabricate correctly. On the same token, there are turbos, as the one we run, that don't require oil plumbing and are strictly water cooled. Information regarding them here...

Not true. Some people go 100hrs on their exhaust filters. Plus it's only a $100 for an exhaust filter change vs 500-600 for a yamaha clutch lol

What does the exhaust filter actually does?!! Doesn't Riva offer a "Exhaust filter remove sleeve" option for the Kawasaki?

Is the exhaust filter needed when you run a Turbo on a Kawasaki?

Please de shine in. Thanks, Julio...

They were redesigned to flow better. But the idea is to keep moisture out of the internal engine parts.

So is changing a clutch. But cost Is much better for an exhaust filter. $100 for 100hrs of riding for a nornal Kawasaki maintance. I could go 600hrs for the price of one yamaha clutch job lol.

The exhaust filter in a Kawasaki can get stuck in the 3" passages of the water box when it fails. I have to mention the new installed exhaust pin prevents this from happening.
