I have 2009 STX-15F and I got crank washer failier. I bought used 2004 crank and crankcase but I did not understood that there are different chain ( oilpump and timing).
So I bought 2004 cams, both chains and new oil sprocket(12046-3701). So all chain releted parts are made to 2004 engine.
Now I founded out that new oil chain fit nicely to both gears (crank and oilpump) but it is too short!!! If i force it to place I do not need any tensioner because it is already like violin string. I calculated chain links from "old" model and "new" model and bot have same amount. What other I should ( can) change to put pieces together?
