    Polaris Slh 700 prop

    Good afternoon,

Been a great year so far up until this past weekend. I run a 2000 polaris slh 700. I am new to the waverunner world and need some assistance. Was out on the bay this weekend and my ski just quit on me was unsure of what was going on. I got towed in and I havent got to look at the ski until today. Motor turns over powers up good. Did a little investigating and found metal shavings in front of the prop area ( see attached pictures) Never ran the ski aground just was running during low tide. Does anyone have any ideas as to what i could of done or what i need to fix this ? Could I of sucked something up and just not known? Or did i bend something ? Everything from the outside looks fine but obviously metal shavings is never a good thing to have. Any help is greatly appreciated!!

The pump bearings probably failed and the pump needs to be rebuilt. Not a difficult or expensive job to do.

Will be pulling the pump off tonight as long As it doesn't give me to much of a hassle. Really new to working on skis an unfortunately no one works on Polaris waverunners around me in NJ anymore so guess it's time to figure it out

So I pulled the pump off it seems ceased ? I am assuming I should be able to spin it by hand? There's metal shavings through out. Click image for larger version.
