    Seadoo Supercharger with 22 hours

    hallo,

    I bought a supercharger last week that had 32hours on it.
    But the charger was removed in 2012 and bin sitting in garage sins.
    Do i need to rebuild it or is it oke to install this charger and go.

    its a few years old, seals get hard
    how long has it sat out in the humidity with out any oil on the tiny bearings
    its probably fine, but if you saw how wimpy the bearings are that must spin about 50,000 rpm
    you would understand why it does not take much for them to fail
    remember if the bearing fail they can fall into the motor could cause oil pump damage
    even a fresh rebuild can fail, how lucky are you

    Rebuild it , I just got an ET137+4 and been sitting for 6 months and moisture in the air had built up some surface rust on bearings

    The thing is how do you really know it has 22 hours? People can say anything. As far as the size of the bearings go, you need small bearings if you want them to spin 40K. Large bearings take more load, but small bearings will spin faster.

    Also, those look like the titanium washers

    2 hours or 22 hours IF you do NOT know the history of that charger you will want to have it rebuilt...I have seen numerous Scers that claimed to have little to no hours and blow up after a few months...Save yourself the head ache and get it rebuilt..
