Question Took the 2003 gtx out today.. ideas?

well guys, took the rebuilt gtx out today.. first time run since i have owned it and got the engine rebuilt to 215hp specs..
Runs smooth and that but not really a fan. drives like a bus. just doesnt seam to pull in turns and seams to be washy in the back end.

Its got the plastic pump (Rebuilt) - seams to get the revs right up when i give it a stab on the GO leaver but not to much action happens so i think the bigger alloy pump will be ordered very soon!?

Also i noticed as im crusing the little paddles on the ass end look like they might be dragging a little? just see a bit a water wash flowing threw the rubber bumpers and comming up the back. They feel free when its on the trailer. move up and down free as?? no idea if they are working?

Also when crusing and do a turn it just seams to slow the speed down a lot.. like doesnt power through. Probably doesnt help i had a go on a 2014 - 260hp ski and it felt like it was on rails! but anything to improve the handling on these things or am i just stuck with what i have got?

Get the alloy pump asap and get the block ups for the opas paddles. that will be a big improvement there. Also what rpm are you getting to?

Ah it will be the 185 rev limiter. running the 185ecm. im still running it in. Only got about 30 mins on it but i did give it a few stabs and see it get up over 7600.

Just going to give it a few hours then ill test it. but ill find a 215 computer when i get the cash and time.

185 and 215 have the same injectors but different fuel pressure so make sure you get the correct fuel pressure regulator to match the ecu you are using
