Is this 1200 PV jug still good? With photo. Don't want to sell junk.

Have a few 2001 Yamaha 1200 PV cylinders that I don't believe I'll use. 50 hrs, had good compression, torn down for big bore that didn't happen, connected powervalve that's moves smoothly(FWIW).

Wanted to know if this mark in the cylinder renders it unusable. I'm on the outboard motor side of the marine business and this would be perfectly useable...but an outboard only runs in the 5k rpm range.

It looks worse than it is, imperceptible feeling across it..

I'd run over it lightly with some scotch brite to make sure nothing is sharp. Then I'd run in. If your looking to part with it or any like it, ping me.

To me thats not a big deal at all. I've run cyls with light scoring from water without issue especially if you can't really feel it. JMHO

Thanks Prism! Another dumb question, why do most people remove the power valve when they sell then? Seems like just added work on both buyer and seller.

I'm going to list it on the for sale side now, $275 w/PV, shipped immediately, unless u guys tell me I'm being a "Lincoln-Izer". I've got 2 more. The motor was great.
Like I said, I'm on the Outboard Motor side of the Marine business. Not a ton of ski's in CT.
