    Rocker Arm Broke Help

    i just change the valve springs, retainers, and stage 2 cam. when i put everything together and i when to do a compression test to set the cam, the rocker arm broke. it was not running so i dont know what could it happen. i torque everything to spec. could this been fluke and everything is fine??

    What cam?
    Did you place the forward cylinder at TDC?

    I used the locking tools for crank and cam. So i think it was tdc

    Hmmm I did the same thing ..... you have to check that the crank tool goes in the hole and not in a divot in the crank ,,, ask me how I know ....

    Did you remove the chain tensioner?

    When you started to bolt the rocker shaft on, did you slowly alternate the tightening of each bolt? (only to initially seat them)

    Was the lifter sitting on top of the valve properly? I have seen people do this and have the lifter cocked on the tip of the valve and snaps the rocker arm

    Thank you for the advice. I think it was the cranck timing. But i dont get it cuz the tool when in. I will check if my #1 cylinder is tdc.

    If you haven't already pulled it down, get yr cam gear back to where yr pic is and look down the locking pin hole... You will soon find out....
