    Speed ties

Anyone use them, how do you like them...

When i bought my new ski i got a 250 gift card to use there and was looking at getting a cover but i can get that cheaper online. So i was looking at speed ties and some new life jackets.

Just wanted thoughts on them before i buy them and drill holes

I don't have speed ties on my RXPX but we did put speed ties on a family members GTX 155 S. I like them, I think the rear speed tie looks terrible when it doesn't integrate into the rear deck, so I will never put them on my RXPX. I've got mine set up for long distance riding. I've added cruise, depth sounder, and snap in bumpers. If I replaced my PWC today, I'd do the exact same thing. If I was doing short trips or just having fun, I wouldn't have any of those items.

One significant detractor of the speed ties is that you are not supposed to use them in poor weather / rough water. Having to carry additional dock lines defeats the purpose for me, and I'm much happier using 3/8" lines as opposed to the speed ties.

You mentioned you added cruise to your ski, how would one do this?

I noticed mine didn't have cruise but would possibly like it.

Cruise control module was a widely available product from BRP which has now been discontinued. We picked up a cruise module for a GTI last year so there may still be some out there.
