    sea doo spark starter issue?

    Guys,

Wanted to throw this out there as this forum is a mountain of information along with investigating myself. Have a sea doo spark that sat through the spring in its crate unprepped. No fluids in it except for oil. Hooked everything back up and went to turn it over before putting everything back in it (coolant etc) all seems good and no error alarms, fuel pump charges up etc. However when you hit the start button to actually start it you can hear the relay for the starter click and nothing happens. Anyone have any quick ideas?

    Low battery?
    Batter starter/relay etc?

Just looking for an easy starting point. Not looking to run this thing yet just wanted to turn it over before we pull the engine to use in a yacht tender. Maybe I am missing or forgetting something.

A little update..if I jump the relay the starter will turn the engine over. However struggle..I am thinking it might be the battery? Could the relay stop it from trying to turn over if the battery draw was sensed to be low?

volts doesn't mean AMPs no grunt

If you jump start the battery you are using your relay so it should be ok

Are you thinking its bad based on description? Or just taking a guess at it?

I just picked up two more sparks today so I am going to swap one relay out of the new ones and see what happens.

If you jump across the post on the solenoid, and turns over, AND when start button is pressed u can hear the solenoid click,, replace it.
