94 Polaris SLT 750 drive shaft to PTO
Hello all,
have to to replace the shaft and coupler, both shot. After taking it apart , my question is, what holds the shaft into the coupler? Seems like it's just the shaft length and splines but it seems a bit sloppy.
Thanks

The driveshaft is trapped between the end of the engine crank shaft (the drive coupler is hollow right through) and the jet pump impeller stub shaft (the impeller is also hollow).
Each end of the drive shaft has a small rubber bumper, these hold the driveshaft in place and limit motion forward and back.
