    Rxp x260 2hr thoughts

Coming from a 2014 Yamaha FZR to SeaDoo RXP X260.
Handling... Very predictable after a few minutes of seat time. Love how it leans into the turns. It gives you a heads up before she digs in and does an about face.
    IBR... Awesome!...enough said.
Engine is a bit noisy. Sounds like a cloths dryer full of rocks being blown around in a hurricane. The FZR engine was much quieter.
Ride...RXP all the way. That T3 hull carves through waves much better and doesn't slap the water like the FZR.
Comfort... OMG! Love the seat! Doesn't feel like you're straddling a horse. Feels more like you're on a sport bike not a fat cruiser. Also love the deep gun wells. One can stretch ones legs without standing up.
Performance... I can't judge right now due to only having 2hr on the ticker. The FZR would come out of the hole pissed off and gone. Hoping this RXP runs at least as strong after the grueling 8hr left of break in. 10hrs...really? Lol
Fuel range... About the same on both. Just wish SeaDoo would offer a larger fuel tank as an option. 15.9gal vs 18.5 on the FZR. Thinking to add a 3gal fuel cell for more ride time.
All said and done I wasn't sure if I made the right move leaving Yamaha until I lit a fire in the SeaDoo. Now my wife said maybe next year we can trade in her 2013 Yamaha FZS on a 2016-17 RXP and she'll take my RXP.

Mine let loose around 6 hours. Yes the engine has a meaner growl. I'm sure you love a functional gauge cluster also that has everything you want unlike the useless FZR cluster. Glad you like it.

Oh yes! One thing I will change right off is the throttle trigger. Damn thing is too short for me. I prefer to use 2 fingers and when I do my hand is in the handlebar plastic cover, soft rubber ring on the grip will take care of the rub. Is it normal for the coolant temp to be around 188f? Seems on the hot side.

Yea they like it hot. Open loop will cure that. Spin it to 8500+ and you will have a big smile.

In the dead of the summer and warm/hot water, 188 to 192 is normal for temp. Cool/cold water I usually see in the upper 170's to low 180's.

That's exactly what it was running in mid 90s temps.

I've ridden 4 of them in 75f water, and they all ran 87C (188F)

Your temp is right where it should be. Mine had full power around 4.5 hours. Keep us updated!
