Wouldn't start immediately after putting gas...

    Hi all,

I filled up at a marina gas station right after getting in the water. As soon as we were done and leaving, the engine would not start...we tried like a good 5 times until the guy threw us a rope because he thought we were going to end being stuck there. At this point I started to worry a bit because it has always started immediately and did in the morning when we checked and once e got in the water. After we tied up, maybe 1-2 minutes had elapsed since the last attempt, we tried and boom it started right up. The rest of the day, it started perfectly fine without any issues. What could have caused this? Should I be worried it may happen again?
Other than that, yesterday was by far the most beautiful day out on the water so I am trying not to freak out about future outings.
Thanks in advance for any advice!

Not start as in won't turn over or fire up? Crank Issue check the connection at the battery. Maybe not tighten enough when the dealer serviced the battery.

It sounded like it wanted to start but just couldn't. Until that one try where it started totally fine. Thanks... I'll check the connection to make sure!

Oh boy...I'm scared to ask. I don't think I was giving it any throttle at least. Knock on wood it has started each time since then so far so I just really hope it stays that's way! Thanks everyone...still learning a lot!
