    Impeller change

I've got some low end slip/skip going on coming out of the hole. I'm also running low on top speed. SCO and low fuel. 70mph is best. 68-69 is about it. Seeing about 14psi on the gauge 7950rpms.

IS is cleaned. BOV is tightened. Boost hoses are tight. Ski runs great but seems to be missing a bit on top. It also does the abrupt skip/cavitiation thing on take off.

what impeller should I swap out to? aftermarket or OEM reconditioned?

First what impeller condition and clearance you seeing , then what rideplate you running and what trim position you take off at ,are you putting that unnecessary silicone in the seam around the rideplate, big mistake..

    don't blame the impeller yet..

if it's a mistake to silicone the ride plate in, why does Kawasaki do it at the factory?

Im also cavitating a bit with the 1* wedge I just put on .. Thinking about going with a solas 14/21 but iv also read ppl using a 14/18. Wish there was more info on this subject I can't seem to find much .. There's bits and peices hidden here and there in threads but it's hard to come across.

14/18 if its hot out, that 14/21-20 is about where you want to be with that solas normally

Thanks mike , just wanted to make sure No top speed was lost w the 14/21. Shore i beleive down is best so the nose doesn't come up as much keeping the pump loaded. With my wedge it doesn't really help though. Going to re check my trim position ..
