Factory Triple Pipes on a Fuel Injected 1300R

Has anyone run this? I have a 07 non-powervalve 1300R with a fresh PWC rebuild. I had a set of Factory triple pipes laying around. All I seem to seem to see is these pipes on carbureted skis. I have basic mods like WFO 3 degree keyway, Riva fuel controller, 14/20 prop, free flow, grate, and ride plate.

1300 models have 7400 rev limit. The triple pipes needed to rev higher to make power. The 1200's had aftermarket advent ignition's to get around that. Advent promised for years they were working on a 1300 ignition. It never happened. then the yamaha supercharged 4-stroke was born.

Spoke with Advent yesterday. They are still making product and have a "new" billet ignition for carb skis. They were developing a product that works with fuel injection for the 1300R but ran into problems with the fuel injection/ignition timing relationship and the stock coil pickups. Development has been halted for that product due to those difficulties and lack of interest. He said I was the first call in a year asking about it. To effectively run triples, the rev limit needs to be raised substantially and the timing curves need to be adjusted. I am searching for an effective option to run triples and injection as well. A call to AEM held some promise, but there is not going to be anything plug and play for the 1300R as of yet. The best option might be to buy a factory harness from a conversion ski and wire in a Vi-PEC or AEM ECU manually. Let us know if you find anything else.

Makes sense. I guess I'll hold onto them for another project some day.
