polaris sl750 bogging at high speeds

Hi guys. New to the forum and also to the pwc world. I picked up a 94 sl750 2 weeks ago. I am having a problem with it bogging at high speed. The ski will completely shut off if you continue to hold the throttle. I think the fuel pump isn't providing enough fuel. I am not sure how to read piston wash since I am still learning. Any help would be great. Thanks in advance!

Thanks. I pulled the heads to better see the wash pattern. According to the pics I am way lean on the front cylinder. A little rich on the center and a little lean on the rear cylinder. I think I have a fuel pump that isn't supplying enough fuel. I am going to upgrade to the triple outlet pump and readjust the carbs.

If you dont have the Triple fuel pump and its lean than for sure change it out and quick, I made the mistake last year on my 95 of not upgrading, made it till sept then got a hole in the piston. Have a new top end now with everything upgraded....once I fix my stator issue just about everything motor wise will be new

Update: pulled the carbs and disassembled. Carbs were very dirty so I order the triple pump and carb kits. I will update when it is up and running again.

I now put one size bigger jets in any skis I rebuild the carbs on.

I think it already has been jetted up. The high is a 97.5 if I remember correctly. I need to check the low. I think the stock high is 95? I need to double check the manual.

    94 SL750 is HIGH=90 (1-1/4M, 3/8C, 7/8P) and LOW=75 (all set to 1/2 turn out)

Got my carb kits today. Checked the jet sizes main is a 97.5 and the pilot is a 75. Seat is a 2.5 I checked the pop off pressures. All three were 9 psi so I changed the springs and I am getting 15 psi pop off. Should be good spec is 10 to 18. I ran all the lines for the triple pump. Since the carbs are off I am going to check engine leak down. Set the hi and low base settings per the manual. I will fine tune at the lake.

You are going to be happy young padawan!

You are walking the rice paper....you will reap the rewards.

Leak down is like insurance, never pass on it when it is cheap.
