    Pro 785 advice

So I've got an opportunity to pick up a 98 pro today for 250$ it's in pieces but he says it's all there. Said it needed a top end so he pull it and lost interest. It worrys me that there could be a million missing bolts and other little pieces. My question is if I buy this thing and decide it's too far gone, what's it worth in a part out?

Don't know exactly what it's worth, but if it's all there as he says you will DEFINATELY get your $250 back. Keep in mind that 785 Pros can get very expensive to rebuild, especially when crankshafts and cylinders are involves. I'm concerned that "he took it apart" so to speak and it's been sitting. Hopefully the crank isn't rusted up.

That was kind of my thought. I know it's been exposed to the air with the jugs off.
