    08 RXTX top speed

Hello everyone. Was browsing as a visitor the past few months and decided today to register.
I have a couple of questions that you might be able to shed some light on. I have an 08 RXTX. It accerlates light a freight train. But it's top end speed could be be a little higher for my liking. I can have a full tank or half tank of fuel, 1 or 2 people. Doesn't matter my top speed is 70 mph@ 7740-7760 rpm. The supercharger was done at 112 hrs. The machine has 122 hrs on it now. The machine has the following mods
Riva air intake and filter kit
    Riva free flow exhaust
    Riva top loader intake grate
    Riva stainless wear ring 159mm
    Solas 15/21 impeller
    Opas block off kit
    Intake manifold block off kit

So my question is do I have too much impeller for my ski? If so what should I change it to, to get more top speed and 8000rpms? Does this sound like a probable solution to my problem? Or any other recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Chris

Use your current impeller/pump in cooler weather, but you need a second impeller pitched 13/19 to raise the RPM in the summer.

Ok. I appreciate the reply. My ski so far has turned the same numbers whether it's 20 degrees air temps or 30. Water temps have been 66-72 degrees so far this year. Hasn't been overly warm up here in the north.

How are you checking your speed? The Speedo is not accurate, and stops at 70 mph.

Speedo on machine reads 72-73 mph. GPS says 69.8-69.9 mph.

OK. Mine used to stop at 70.
Anyways. You have an issue somewhere. I ran a 15/22 with basically the same mods and would spin it 8100-8200 all year round. I am thinking either a boost leak or your SC needs to be rebuilt.

Deep in the heat and humidity of the Gulf Coast of Texas.
I had an 08 Rxpx & Rxtx, both with basically 4" air and FA removed and would spin a 15/22 no problem to 8200.
