Exclamation '12 VXR - need oil & filters quick due to water in engine.

I am an idiot. I left the plugs out and the ski in the water (fresh water) yesterday. Got all the water out of hull, then the cylinders, got it running on the hose. Ran it for about 10 mins, with a few 1/2- 3/4 bumps of throttle toward the end.

I need to change the oil and filter twice today, and can't wait a week for 2 LUB-WTRCG-KT-10 (Yamalube oil change kit) to arrive.

After a lot of searching here and elsewhere it seems like I could get my hands on a couple K&N #HP-1002 from autozone for $13.99, and they seem like they would do the trick.

The oil questions still elude me... I really can't afford to spend any more than I have to for at least the initial oil change since it's only purpose is to remove the water from the crankcase. Can I use just any old 10w40 synth-blend (or dino?) since its only going to be in the ski until it gets hot and water mixes with it? I can't seem to find any FC-W certified oil locally at all. I could drive an hour each way to the dealer, and buy the kit, but I really need to save as much money as possible without further screwing up my ski.

So, since I have recently proved I am an idiot, could someone smarter than me tell me if this is the best bang for the buck plan:

    1) Buy 2 K&Ns and 2 gallons of cheapish 10w40 blend (not marine grade) today
    2) Order a LUB-WTRCG-KT-10 oil change kit and new plugs tomorrow
    3) Change the oil & filter tonight, drive it to boat launch (smallish lake)
    4) Change the oil & filter again tonight, & fog the cylinders, run on hose for 10 mins with some 1/2 - 3/4 throttle at end
    5) Don't ride for a week
    6) Run on hose for 10 mins, change the plugs, oil, and filter (using yamalube and OEM filter).

Rotella T6, walmart sell it by the gallon for 22$ ish with 5$ rebate.

I just switched from yamalube to this after doing a few searches. Wasn't so much for price, just a lot easier to get a hold of and that napa Filter is the icing on the cake, thanks Jim

Always good to have a couple in the cupboard just incase.

5w40 correct. I was a bit skeptical at first but when I was looking I googled it and found quite a few people running it with no issues. From what I know, which isn't much the t6 only comes in 5w40.

I originally was going to buy it In West Marine but they are crazy expensive, which got me onto googling and found walmart stock it. West Marine was around the 50$ a gallon, walmart 20$ ish.
