Our Intake Manifold Design
While it being the off season, we decided to make a bunch of changes to the ski. The intake manifold being one of them. Being a high boost application, we decided to redesign the factory intake manifold with the limited space we have for what we felt what be better suited for us looking for top end power, and we were willing to sacrifice a little bottom end if that was the end result. As you can see from the pics provided, the factory plenum chamber is smaller in comparison, as well as the location of the throttlebody has been altered. We did away with the factory dampener as well and machined a plate to adapt the throttlebody directly to the manifold. We also wanted to focus on maintaining a more equal distribution of intake charge relative to the design. Here are a few pics of the manifold in the making, as well as the completed unit. With this unit in place, we now have a straight short shot from the intercooler directly to the throttlebody.

Thank you Chad. Fizzle... we haven't tested yet, and we've made A BUNCH of changes at one time. Which we generally don't like doing. Everything we changed just "made sense" to increase performance. If that makes sense. lol We have a few other things we need to wrap up before getting back into the water.

Thank you for the compliments guys. Attached are a couple of pics and how it sits in the hull. Although it's significantly different in size relative to the stock manifold, there is still more than enough room to work around. A big plus is now we're shortening the post intercooler piping from nearly 30" with a 90 degree bend, to a 4-5" piece of straight tubing to the throttlebody. Not only that, but now connecting the charge tube to the throttlebody will be a breeze in comparison to the original setup.
